Account Executive Scent Ingredients

If the answer is yes, then this is your opportunity to join a dynamic, experienced, and motivated global team as our new Account Executive – Fragrance Ingredients ! This role will offer you the opportunity to make a strategic impact to our ambitious sales growth initiatives and to develop a unique skillset by developing and serving new customers.

As the new Account Executive, you will be accountable for developing opportunities for the IFF Fragrance Ingredients catalogue including outside the traditional Fragrance industry; you will contribute to develop commercial strategies and execute them to drive sustainable profitable sales & market share growth within our Fragrance Ingredients division. Besides the new business development, you will also get the responsibility for the existing customers in our business. You establish solid customer relationship, lead & coordinate IFF activities and promote relevant IFF Fragrance Ingredient solutions. Besides the customer focused approach, it is critical to develop a strong internal network to leverage product knowledge, R&D capabilities, Operations and Sales. You will be responsible for providing accurate sales forecast to drive operations planning and finance analysis. 

You will be reporting to the Senior Account Manager, Fragrance Ingredients , whom is based in Hilversum, the Netherlands .

Job Requirements

About You…

  • You have a true passion for sales, with a strong interest in specialty chemicals, the ability to build and maintain outstanding customer relationships, and a strong chemistry background. 
  • Learning on the Fly, Strategic Agility, Action oriented, Perseverance, Drive for results, problem solving, Negotiating are all skills you truly excel at. 
  • Your expertise includes strong organizational and planning skills, and ability to implement best practices / processes.
  • Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry /chemical engineering or related is required. 
  • Master’s degree in Science is a very welcomed plus.
  • Ability and willingness to travel around 30% of your time.
  • 3 years of successful sales experience (preferably specialty chemical industry experience) including contributions to sales strategy development, prioritization, and execution is needed.
  • Excellent listening and presentation skills, you are a reliable team player who likes challenges, building new revenue streams, and exploring the unknown. Very much driven for results.
  • Confident, dynamic, and enthusiastic professional, with ability to generate trust, internally and externally, by delivering on commitments and to impact customers.
