You will play a key role collaborating with our design and buying teams to drive fit consistency, enhancing technical specifications and setting standards in garment quality and performance.

The position requires meticulous attention to detail with the ability to foster strong relationships internally and externally with our production partners.

Your main tasks & responsibilities will be:

Sampling and fitting:

  • Drive fit sessions confidently ensuring comfort and functionality is factored in every garment and fitted to our customers expectations.
  • Record and communicate fit comments clearly with photos and specs upload onto the PLM system managing the sealing process from first fit to production.
  • Manage fit session times with the full technical team that aligns with both buying and design teams.

Quality:

  • Ensure all products prior to fitting are correct for Quality and garment construction to a high standard of workmanship.
  • Quality and fit is constantly reviewed and improved with the buying and design teams.
  • Work closely with design on initial product development ensuring fabric and trims are fit for purpose and physical wear testing is conducted through a risk based strategy.
  • Random AQL Checks are carried out in the DC and any QC Failures highlighted to all stakeholders.
  • Ensure tech pack documentation and standards are relevant for the product type and consistently revised for fit and performance.
  • Work with creative teams to provide technical USP’s.

Pattern Management:

  • Prepare patterns and specs ensuring standard block patterns and grade increments are used through the sizing range using Lectra software.
  • Cross check patterns to specs prior to fits.
  • Challenge size grades to ensure a consistent fit across all categories.
  • Consistently reviewing fit feedback and making necessary improvements with key stakeholders.

Critical path:

  • Work closely with the buying team and suppliers to ensure Critical path management is followed and suppliers are delivering samples at every stage of the fitting process and technical dates are running to plan.

Testing:

  • Chase, review and approve base and bulk test reports ensuring testing is in line with the HKM standards and confidently communicate issues as they arise offering technical advice where needed.
  • Conduct wear test trials to minimise risk and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Work with product sustainable technologist to ensure all products are compliant to EU standards and followed with correct information.

Supplier communication:

  • Conduct supplier VC’s to foster strong supplier relationships, assessing any production risks and maintaining key technical milestones.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure design briefs are translated to deliver samples right first time.
  • Pre-production risk assessments are reviewed and actions followed.

Product development:

  • Partake in all strategy meetings, presenting any relevant technical updates and innovation developments.
  • Follow up customer feedback from all channels and communicate to the team.
  • Visit stores and customer facing teams and gain customer insight to improve product and share feedback with the teams.
  • Keep up to date on new technical applications to elevate quality.
  • Work with design to ensure correct fabric and trims are sourced to the required technical specifications.
  • Translate design artworks into accompanying technical information.

You are our perfect candidate, if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s/Master’s/HBO-degree in fashion and/or clothing and quality control.
  • Gained at least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar function.
  • Good knowledge of the English language (spoken & written).
  • Knowledge of MS-Office.
  • Knowledge of PLM systems.
  • Lectra pattern software is an advantage.
