YOUR TASKS
You will work closely with the Lead Lingerie and Lead Swimwear designers in creating seasonal collections across mid to high volume ranges, contributing to mood boards, sketches, and technical design work. An interest in trend forecasting, fabric and trim research, and a strong eye for color, print, and silhouette will be key. Working closely with the Design team, youll help translate global trends into wearable, brand-relevant designs that inspire and excite our customer.
The ideal candidate will have an passion for Lingerie and Swimwear design – show a developing eye for innovation, with the ability to contribute fresh ideas that support and enhance our core collections while staying true to the Hunkemoller brand identity. This role reports to the Design Manager and offers opportunities for hands-on learning, full range design/development, creative growth, and close collaboration with the wider design team.
What You'll Do:
· Support the execution of the strategic direction for our Lingerie/Swim collections, helping to translate ideas into commercially strong designs.
· Assist in the product development process from initial concept through to final sign-off, with a focus on maintaining design consistency and supporting innovation.
· Collaborate with the Buying, Technical, and Merchandising (and other) teams to ensure great communication and smooth workflow
· Work closely with the Design Manager and Designers to stay aligned with timelines, collection goals, and day-to-day priorities.
· Communicate with suppliers and vendors as needed, helping to follow up on materials, samples, and developments that support the design process.
· Be an active participant in design meetings, fittings, and reviewslearning to contribute ideas, take feedback, and develop your professional skills.
· Stay aware of trends, competitor activity, and market shifts to support fresh, relevant product input in our trend ranges.
What Youll Bring:
· Bachelors Degree in Fashion Design, with a focus on intimates or swim a bonus.
· 1+ years experience in lingerie or intimate apparel design bra design expertise is an asset.
· Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop); PLM system proficiency required
· 3D design (CLO-3D or similar) experience is a plus.
· Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Exceptional communication skills written, visual, and verbal.
· A collaborative spirit and a proactive mindset with strong attention to detail.
· Ability to work on-site at our Hilversum HQ.
