As our Finance Administrations Manager, you’d be responsible for a strong (efficient and effective) financial administration department with the objective of achieving correct financial reporting delivered through a timely and accurate internal control framework.
You would be managing 4 Team Leaders directly and indirectly 15 persons. The Finance Administration department represents our international Shared Service Center where the accounting of all Hunkemöllers operations (legal entities) is performed. Your task would include in more detail:
Internal Control:
Responsible for the Internal Controls of Financial Admin, together with the Other head of Finance and CFO
Drafts and improves procedures and processes for an adequate Financial Admin department
Drafts and improves procedures and processes to mitigate risks in Internal Controls
Responsible for adequate division of duties between Cash & banking, stock accounting, AP, AR and within SAP (financial accounting system)
Projects:
Responsible for initiating new projects with aim to improve adequateness of the FA and its reporting either by new ways of working, people, IT/applications improvements or cost savings
Reporting:
Draft and/or review monthly reporting which is part of the Monthly Financial Closing Process
Monitors timeliness, complete and correctness of the MFCP from an accounting perspective
Responsible for preparation of audit documentation for our external auditors
VAT and Intrastat filings
Reporting AR balances and aged debtors
Stock reporting including GRNI,
Gift card performance reporting and accounting
Administration:
Monitors proper execution of the tasks of the 4 Teams
Monitors and improves the following focal points within the FA:
Proper liquidity forecasting
Managing insurance portfolio
Timely receipt of cash
Management of bank accounts and appropriate banking facilities
Timely payments of lessors and suppliers
Accurate VAT and other indirect taxes
Other working capital optimalization
Support procurement and cost savings initiatives with detailed AP spend analysis
Management:
Retaining, recruiting, Managing, coaching, motivating and assessing Team Leaders
Monitors cooperation and division of tasks between the Teams
Monitors adherence of Team members to our internal Code of Conduct
Positioning FA within the organization, cooperation with other departments
Supporting delivery of wholesale growth with onboarding new customers
For this role we’ll require:
At least 5 year experience in a managers role and must have experience in managing large teams in Financial Administration
Minimal Bachelor degree (HBO) with a focus related to the core of the job
Preferably qualified accountant with audit manager experience
Result oriented, analytical strong and eye for detail
Good communicator
Entrepreneurial spirit
Verbally and in writing mastering the English language
Knowledge of the German language is a pro
Retail experience is a pro
Knowledge of SAP and affinity with IT is a pro
